This awesome specimen has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The three photos shown do not begin to adequately show the beauty and quality of the piece, but I can send further pictures upon request. It is from the classic locality of Graves Mountain in Lincoln County, Georgia. It is an old piece collected in the 1970's. It measures 6 x 5 x 3.5 inches. The condition is superb with no damage. It is dominated by a 3 inch tall, 2.5 inch wide quartz crystal coated by rainbow colored iridescent hematite. The rest of the specimen consists of a convoluted mass of well formed bladed crystals of kyanite, also covered with a coating of rainbow hematite. A superb display specimen and one of the finest examples of this type of material ever found. Museum quality.
