Size: Quartz crystal is 6.5 inches long. Hematite cluster is about 2 inches in diameter. This superb display specimen consists of a long tapering quartz crystal with a light hematitc coating on some faces giving it a reddish glow, with a cluster of intergrown crystals of black bladed hematite crystals attached at the base. When placed on an upright stand it really stands out on the display shelf. The combination of the two minerals is very aesthetic. There are a couple of very small reddish quartz crystals on the hematite and on the side of the large quartz crystal. A couple of these have broken off terminations, but it is completely unnoticeable without a loupe, and despite this minor damage, still adds to the beauty of the piece.
