Size:  7 x 6 x 3.5 inches.  Extraordinary "pineapple" cluster of amethyst from the Reel Mine near Iron Station in Lincoln County, NC.  Dug in the 1980's by Mark Ricard, this is one of the better specimens for its size to have come from an awesome pocket he uncovered.  The mine has been closed for 15 years or more and specimens such as this have become unavailable.  The pictures do not do it justice, the color is darker than appears in the photos.  There is one tiny contact flaw where the cluster touched the opposite wall of the pocket, but it is scarcely noticeable, and does not detract from the beauty and appeal of the specimen.  Has a relatively flat base and no matrix, just a complete cluster of crystals.  This one would be at home in any museum.  A rare chance to obtain a very superb american amethyst.  FREE SHIPPING AND INSURANCE.  (Note:  I'll gladly e-mail additional pictures if you're seriosly interested in this specimen)
