Size: 6 x 5 x 4 inches. Superb cluster of deep purple amethyst crystals from the Reel Mine near Iron Station in Lincoln County, North Carolina. This is a particularly well composed group of crystals growing upward and outward in an explosion of color. The condition is flawless, with not a single dinged tip or microchip and no silica coatings. The luster is brilliant. Almost all of the larger clusters from the Reel Mine have one or two tips where the crystals touched the opposite wall of the pocket and left a small contact point, but this one has perfect sharp points. Pieces of this quality are very rarely available. Looks much better in person. The photos make it look lighter than the color really is. The price is firm.
