This amethyst specimen from the Reel Mine near Iron Station in Lincoln County, NC is a floater piece with sharp well formed crystal faces on the "front" (or display) side, and contact faces on the "back" side. It has a scepter form with internal color zoning. There are no chips or other damage other than the contact faces on the back. Measures 3 x 2.25 x 1.75 inches. Collected in the 1970's.
