Superb rare specimen of translucent cubic bluish purple fluorite crystals partially covered in spiky elongated calcite (strontian?) crystals from Hardin County, illinois. I highly suspect that it is from the Minerva #1 Mine, but I cannot be positive. The condition is near perfect, no damage. Measures 15.5 x 14 x 4.5 inches ( 39.4 x 35.6 x 11.4 cm). This is largely a floater specimen, with no matrix, concave on the underside. I would not be comfortable shipping this specimen, it is delicate and I would hate to have it damaged in the mail. Pictures do not do justice, more can be sent upon request. This piece would be at home in any museum.
