Size: 12 x 13.5 x 4 inches. This is the largest specimen that was recovered from a single large kyanite pocket opened in the 1980's near Price in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The kyanite from here has a distinctive green tint to the normally blue mineral. This piece is almost entirely composed of kyanite crystals, with a small amount of orange tinted quartz cementing it all together. Remember FREE SHIPPING, a real deal for this heavy specimen! This was a one pocket locality that was entirely cleaned out and no more has been found in the area since then, so this is a very unique specimen. The color is darker "in person" than the photos indicate.
