Large cluster of smoky amethyst crystals from the Diamond Hill Mine in Antreville, Abbeyville County, South Carolina. On almost flat base of thin milky quartz. Many faces on lower sides are "rehealed", but all the upper faces and terminations are sharp and lustrous. Only one very tiny chip, not noticeable, otherwise excellent condition. Measures 3.5 x 2.5 x 3.25 inches ( 9 x 6.4 x 8.2 cm).
