Fluorescent minerals are those that glow a different color when exposed to long or short wave fluorescent light. Often these fluorescent colors are very bright, sometimes "electric". Some rocks that are ugly under ordinary light will be incredibly beautiful under fluorescent light. The pictures below will show the specimen under both fluorescent and ordinary light.
