Superb specimen with gemmy translucent clean sharp honey-gold tabular crystals of barite from the 1700 foot level of the Eagle Mine, Rock Point Area, Gilman, Eagle County, Colorado. The backside of the specimen is also covered in barite crystals, but some of these are coated with a second generation growth of tiny drusy barite crystals. This is a very showy specimen that sits upright and displays perfectly. These crystals are as gemmy and sharp as they get from this locality. Measures 2.25 x 2.5 x 1.5 inches ( 5.7 x 6.4 x 3.8 cm). Excellent condition.
