Superb micro specimen of vivianite crystals from the Foote Mine in Cleveland County, North Carolina. Matrix is a thin hard plate of spodumene pegmatite topped with sparkling drusy vivianite crystals. The vast majority of vivanite from Foote is in flat lying blades, but these are free standing sharply terminated translucent deep blue/green crystals. Magnification is required to fully appreciate the quality of the specimen. Measures 1.5 x 1.25 x 0.25 inches ( 3.8 x 3.1 x 0.6 cm).
