A rare specimen from the Triangle Quarry in Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, known for its wide diversity of mineral specimens. This floater cluster of almost transparent calcite crystals measures 2.25 x 1.5 x 1 inches. There are faint grey "phantoms" in the crystals, which under magnification look to be composed of tiny chalcopyrite crystals imbedded within the calcite. No damage. Almost unique, only a couple similar pieces found.
