Large cabinet specimen collected in the 1960's by Andrew Hartsook at the old Sullins Branch Mine in Spruce Pine, Mitchell County, Nort Carolina. Grass green flat lying torbernite (meta-torbernite) crystals on a pegmatite matrix of predominantly microcline feldspar with minor patches of smoky quartz and muscovite. One face of the matrix is thickly coated in crystals, with sparse crystals on all the other sides. Measures 7.5 x 6 x 5.5 inches (19 x 15.2 x 14 cm). No damage. Weighs 6.5 pounds.
