Here’s an old specimen from the Ojuela Mine in Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, consisting of a complex of hard layered limonitic matrix with numerous cavities on all sides hosting transparent golden yellow wafer thin square wulfenite crystals, with small yellow-green tufts of mimetite crystals sprinkled all over, plus glass clear rounded layers of calcite crystals accompanying and sometimes covering some of the other crystals. Worlds to see under the loupe. The larger cavities have fine crystals in excellent condition. The outer edges have wulfenite crystals broken off at the base. A very interesting piece that my three allotted photos can’t begin to covey. Measures 7.5 x 4 x 3.5 inches (19 x 10.1 x 9 cm).
