The fluorite specimens from Mundy's Landing in Woodford County, Kentucky are very distinctive, and can be instantly recognized by those that know the look. This specimen is on a matrix of intermixed massive white barite and calcite. The cubic fluorite crystals are mostly clear on the inside, but have a dusting of purple along the outer edges. I collected this specimen from the old mine dumps, and it is in remarkably good shape considering this. Measures 3.75 x 3 x 2.25 inches ( 9.5 x 7.5 x 5.7 cm).
